This event will be the first of seven Sail Canada National and Regional Championships to be held this summer. Sail Canada 2023 Senior Kiteboarding Championships Races will be held according to the following schedule: Amongst the Kiteboarding athletes in action will be Mac Morrin from Kingston, ON, and Emily Bugeja from Vancouver, who both qualified to be nominated to Team Canada for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games, as well as Nathan Pearce from North Vancouver, B.C., who finished 16th at the 2022 Youth Sailing World Championships in The Hague, NED. The 2023 Youth Sailing World Championships, which are an important stepping stone for sailors who are 19 years of age or less on their way to making the Canadian Sailing Team and Development Squad, will be held December 8-16 in Brazil.Ī total of 42 athletes will be taking part in this week’s event as a whole, including 15 in the Sail Canada 2023 Kiteboarding Championships. The Sail Canada 2023 Senior Kiteboarding Championships will also serve as a qualifier for Canadian athletes in Kiteboarding for the upcoming 2023 Youth Sailing World Championships. This competition will be held alongside FoilKingston, FORK Regatta and CORK Olympic Classes Regatta in Kiteboarding as well as the Canadian WASZP Championships, all organized by CORK Kingston.
